It's been a while. Life has been hectic. We've been in NY now for about five weeks (maybe six?) and are still trying to get unpacked. The kids seem happy, Brian says this is "his NEW house in his NEW York," LOL - oh to be 3 again and so excited about everything.
The weather has finally started to cool off and it's feeling like fall, my absolute favorite time of year. There was a Scarecrow Fest in town this past weekend, which was very nice. The kids had a great time making a scarecrow and playing games. We went afterward and got some pumpkins and corn stalks; time to decorate the front porch. Emma is on a mission to make our front porch better than the neighbors; let the games begin! I'll post pictures as soon as I get them developed. Yes, I said developed, as in they are on F-I-L-M, remember that stuff? Actually, I forgot my digital, so had to go to good 'ole Wally World and buy a disposable camera. No instant gratification.
David and I finally moved into our bedroom this weekend. We bought a new mattress set that has a two-piece box spring, so it fit up our stairs. Brian is a bit confused as to why we aren't sleeping in the dining room anymore LOL. My next project in the new bedroom is to get our clothes hung (David put up a rod in the closet, woohoo!), move my dresser upstairs and put my drawers in it so that I can put more clothes away, and convert the gorgeous, lined pinch-pleat drapes I found at the thrift store (for $4.00!) to pole top. I don't have traverse rods, and can't afford them right now, so the curtains must be made to accommodate, whether they like it or not. It'll be so nice to get everything put in it's proper place....then we can start with the painting and tear it all up again!
Off to make Master Brian his lunch.
